I am a member of the Interfaith Council of Contra Costa County and a Scientist. Science is not a belief system. At an early age I liked that science was only concerned with the best ideas or models to explain how something in Nature works. It is not involved with the question of 'why'. That is the realm of belief. The reason why- because no-one was there when a lot of Nature was formed. Science is how and belief is why; two fundamentally different ways of thinking about the world and they do not have to conflict.
In these pages I have applied that indifferent, not vested in the outcome, trying as hard as I can to be unbiased, scientific thinking and let the evidence direct the discussion.
If you disagree with what follows please contact me and we can discuss it. All scientific models are our best, most likely version of events or models and are formulated by differing understandings coming together to discuss all possibilities.
I am prepared to discuss the science but I cannot discuss the religious impacts as I am not a theology scholar and to own, I only know two religions fairly well; Christianity and Paganism.

The science is very clear and has been for a long time that climate change is indeed real. The environment was never a political issue. Below are links to:
- the relevant, current scientific discussions;
- what sceptics say;
- what evidence there is that shows how the sceptics are inaccurate in their assessment of the data on climate change;
- why it is important, cheaper, employs more people, is better for national security; and
- is just simple the right thing to do.
